Do you like to sleep? Brian talks about work-life balance and the “Z-type” personality in this clip from an edition of The FEARLESS Man Live seminar.

Marc Allen, an internationally renowned author and speaker, the president and publisher of New World Library, and an accomplished musician and composer, uses “Z-type” to describe his “laziness”…which, he says, is actually the key to his success.

Z…as in zzzzzzzzzz in bed.

Work-life balance is very important, because as Brian talks about in the video, without it, you’re likely to be miserable at the end of your life.

Marc Allen sleeps until 10 or 11 in the morning and gets into the office around 2 PM, but when he does start working, he knows exactly what he wants and needs to do and is very efficient and decisive about it, and he credits that for his ability to work only 30 hours per week.

Allen dedicated an entire book to this idea: The Type-Z Guide to Success: A Lazy Person’s Manifesto to Wealth and Fulfillment (We get a small commission if you buy through that link.)

From Amazon:
“Marc Allen admits he’s lazy. Not only that, but he considers it a key to his success. Here, he shows how anyone who is disorganized, inexperienced, overwhelmed, financially challenged, or just flat-out lazy can still create the life of their dreams. In the book’s short, inspiring introduction, Allen describes the system he devised on his 30th birthday that completely changed his life — a four-step system so simple to understand and easy to implement that it could be called revolutionary. In the following chapters, he details the importance of each of the four steps — dream, imagine, believe, create — and shows how to forge them into a blueprint for success. A final section includes tips for staying on — or getting back on — course. A quick, breezy read, the book uses centered bold type scattered throughout to ensure that even the laziest readers can grasp its essence in just a few minutes.”
